Daily Care & Routines
Infants thrive on individualized attention and consistent routines. Our educators work closely with families to maintain familiar schedules and support each child’s developmental growth.
Sleep
Infants nap in cribs within dimly lit sleep rooms accompanied by soft, soothing music.
Meals
Infants gradually explore self-feeding and family-style dining as they develop the necessary skills.
Play
Daily stroller walks take place, and outdoor play time is introduced when developmentally appropriate.
Connection
Gentle interaction, music, and sensory play, build trust and help children to form early social bonds.
Learning & Development
Every moment in our Infant classrooms is an opportunity for learning. Educators observe what sparks each child’s curiosity and respond with purposeful activities that nurture development across the four key developmental milestone areas:
Motor Skills
Encouraging movement through tummy time, reaching for toys, and sensory exploration to strengthen eye-hand coordination and balance.
Language
Modeling rich language through conversation, stories, songs, and early signing, responding thoughtfully to the Infants’ gestures and vocalizations.
Cognitive Growth
Introducing cause-and-effect play and simple problem-solving to help infants recognize patterns and build memory.
Social–Emotional Development
Providing consistent care and many opportunities for interaction to build trust, security, and comfort with new, friendly faces.
Foundations of Early Learning
Educators celebrate each new milestone—first steps, first friendships, and everything in between. The focus is on nurturing relationships, and building comfort with new surroundings, laying the foundation for lifelong social and emotional growth.

Transition Week
To ensure a smooth and positive start to care, Kids & Company provides families the benefit of a transition week.
Transition week begins one week prior to your child’s first week of care and is a five-day schedule designed to gradually introduce children to their new learning environments, educators, and peers. It helps to ease separation anxiety and to foster an overall positive introduction to care for the whole family.
