Meet the Director
Bethany Hogan
My name is Bethany Hogan and I am the Director at the Kids & Company Dartmouth centre. I have an Early Childhood Education degree and am trained in teaching special needs children. I started working at Kids & Company in 2013 and have over 15 years of experience in the child care field. I have also worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs of East Dartmouth for 6 years in the summer, and 4 years in after school care. I truly love watching the children learn and grow! I love working at Kids & Company because we offer flexible care and are able to adjust our schedule to meet the needs of our families. I also have an amazing team by my side! They each bring a variety of skills, experience and teaching strategies. When combined together, we are able to offer wonderful learning opportunities and creative activities for our students. Krista has been working in Early Childhood Education since her graduation, including time at Friends For Life (2006-2009) where she held roles of both Teacher and Assistant Director. She has facilitated courses at the Nova Scotia Center for Early Childhood Education and volunteered with her children’s schools as a member of the School Advisory Council, President of the Home and School, lunch monitor, Pre-Primary Support and Educational Personal Assistant. She is a champion of self-directed, play based curriculum and providing children the tools to work on their self-regulation skills. Krista resides in Dartmouth with her family, where they have been welcoming international students since 2010.
