Vibrant Vegetarian Meals

Tikka Masala Beans

Serves: 6 portions

Recipe Time: 2 hours and 30 minutes

What you need

  • 3 Cup Bean
  • 1 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 Tsp Ginger
  • 1 Tsp Turmeric
  • 1 Tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 Tsp Cumin
  • 1 Tbsp Veggie Oil
  • ½ Cup Diced Onion
  • 2 Cup Marinara Sauce
  • 1 Cup Cream

What you do

  1. Make sure you wash your hands before you begin.
  2. For the masala sauce, mix together yogurt, garlic, ginger, and spices and blend with a food processor until smooth. Pour the mixture into a bowl and add beans, refrigerate and marinate 2 hours.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet and cook onions until translucent. Stir in marinated beans, marinara sauce, and cream.
  4. Bring mixture to a boil and reduce to medium heat. Simmer until the sauce thickens, approximately 20 minutes.
